Mr David Just – Principal
David has over 20 years industry experience, commencing as a financial adviser in one of the big 4 banks in January 1999. Prior to this role David gained experience in various roles including lending and management as a bank manager for 4 years having joined the company from university in 1993.
David specialises in Self Managed Superannuation strategic advice and has gained the highest designation of SMSF Specialist Advisor™ from the peak industry body Self Managed Super Fund Professionals Association of Australia.
David’s key areas of focus include investment advice, retirement income and estate planning asset protection. David is especially committed to ensuring clients wealth is protected from unnecessary erosion via sound asset structures and legally effective Will making.
David was the founding Principal of the firm in 2005 and strives to deliver superior financial advice and service outcomes for all clients of the firm.
In addition to his business degree studies and superannuation specialist accreditation David has successfully obtained an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services, Diploma of Financial Advising and is a Associate Financial Planner© Practitioner member with the Financial Planning Association of Australia. David is a Quality Advice accredited planner and is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
Mr Josh Pope – Principal
Josh has spent 13 years in the financial planning industry commencing with a tenure as one of Westpac Bank’s most senior financial planners based in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. During his time at Westpac Josh was consistently ranked amongst the nations top performing advisers.
Late in 2011 Josh decided that his client first focus and desire to expand his advice delivery capabilities could only be met by running his own practice. In 2012, in partnership with David Just, Josh commenced an in-depth strategic advice service running alongside the existing Godfrey Pembroke practice.
Josh’s advice specialisation’s include asset protection strategies, business succession planning and retirement income generation.
Upon leaving his Griffith University business degree (Finance) studies Josh successfully undertook his Diploma of Financial Services, Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking. Josh is also enrolled in Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning studies.
Josh’s easy nature and willingness to engage with all forms of client needs makes sharing his knowledge a valuable and enjoyable process.
Miss Alicia Looney – Client Service Manager
Alicia joined the firm in 2007 with a desire to broaden her understanding of finance and the financial sector in general. Alicia quickly developed a passion for the industry and enjoys the daily interaction with clients with common goals of preserving and growing their wealth.
In 2009 Alicia successfully undertook her Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and was promoted to the role of Client Service Manager.
Alicia remains the initial point of contact for all client interaction and consistently draws complimentary feedback from clients who often come to think of her as a friend first and employee second.
Mrs Jodie Just – Administration Manager
Jodie, the wife and guiding light of practice principal David, has an extensive background in finance and client service. In 1996 Jodie was promoted to the role of Personal Banking Manger within Westpac Bank on the Gold Coast. Jodie spent 3 years in this role prior to moving into the more generalised position of Branch Manager where her primary responsibilities included the upholding of 1st class service standards and professional client segmentation to the bank’s advice providers.
After taking time off to become a mother Jodie returned to the workforce as Administration Assistant to Westpac Gold Coast’s senior financial planners.
After once again experiencing the joys of motherhood Jodie joined the practice in 2011 bringing her wealth of finance and client experience to the firm.
